Scholarships

The university provides a wide variety of scholarships for students who demonstrate exceptional academic accomplishment. If you feel you may qualify for a scholarship, you can find out more about the programs at the Scholarships & Financial Aid Office.

Information for 2020 intake will be available soon, meanwhile, please make reference to the following scholarships information for students admitted in Fall 2019.

JUPAS Scholarships for students admitted into Business School (for students admitted in Fall 2019)

JUPAS students attaining Level 5** in 1 Category A subject or above in one single sitting of HKDSE will be eligible for JUPAS Scholarships. For more information, please visit here.

Students do not have to apply for JUPAS Scholarships. The University will identify qualified JUPAS entrants and inform selected students of the scholarship awards in due course.

JUPAS Interview Scholarships for students admitted into Business School (for students admitted in Fall 2019)

Students with excellent performance in Business School interviews will be further awarded an exchange scholarship. Details will be sent to eligible students individually.

IB Scholarship for students admitted into Business School (for students admitted in Fall 2019)

On top of the scholarship awarded under University Admission Scholarship Scheme for IB Diploma Holders, we are pleased to announce that the School will also top-up the scholarship for selected applicants. Details will be sent to eligible students individually.

GCEAL/ International AL Scholarship for students admitted into Business School (for students admitted in Fall 2019)

Candidates who are admitted with GCEAL/ International AL qualifications and attained A* in at least 3 AL subjects will be considered for the Scholarship. For details, please visit University Admission Scholarship Scheme for GCEAL/ International AL Qualification Holders.

Scholarship for students admitted into Business School via other qualifications (for students admitted in Fall 2019)

Selected students admitted via other qualifications may receive scholarships from the Business School. Details will be sent to eligible students individually.

Non-academic Scholarships for Local Students (for students admitted in Fall 2019)

To encourage students to follow their passion and be fully engaged in meaningful non-academic endeavors, HKUST has established Non-academic Scholarships for local students. Please visit here for details.

Student Athletes Admission Scheme (SAAS)

The scheme was launched in 2018 which aims to offer thorough support to help elite student athletes pursuing their sporting dreams while still receiving a quality education. Interested student athletes could submit an application at https://join.ust.hk/saas/.

 

Financial Aid
